Safeguarding children and providing them with appropriate safety and protection whilst in the care of The Grange School is paramount; it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure a child is safe.
The Grange School has a proactive approach to safeguarding children and therefore, regular reviews and checks are carried out in order to ensure the safety of all children. It is the responsibility of the Designated Safeguarding Leads to work alongside appropriate staff, to ensure that these reviews and checks regularly take place. Our approach is a collaborative one, so that early support and intervention can be offered to families. However, our overwhelming priority will always be the welfare of the child.
We respect all children, and will always work in consideration of the well-being of the child including their physical, material and psychological well-being.
Children and young people’s welfare comes first in all our work.
-
The welfare of the child is paramount.
-
All children, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin and religious beliefs , have the right to protection.
- Put simply, we strive to ensure that every single child in our care is happy and safe.
